For long distances, an overnight stay is required. Stays with a guild member are perfectly welcome. I have no special needs and I love animals. I am a non-smoker.

Machine Quilting Classes


*NEW* Intermediate Machine Quilting Series

OK, you have taken Intro to Machine Quilting and you have done a bit of practicing. But now what? Jeannie will show you some easy techniques, along with more advanced ways of getting that quilt completed.


Machine Quilting: Blocks & Borders
Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate
This class focuses on “block” quilts with sashing and borders. Using a "cheater cloth" learn to quilt various blocks, and several border treatments.

 This is an ADVANCED Beginner class. Beginner experience a must. A $10.00 supply fee for a sampler cheater top required along with pre-class homework.

 

Machine Quilting: Backgrounds and Fillers

Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate

This class focuses on the quilting you want to have in the backgrounds of applique quilts, in plain blocks, and many other places. Also, this “Filler” quilting can be a pleasant change from the doldrums of simple stippling.

This is an ADVANCED Beginner class. Beginner experience a must. Pre-class homework is required.


Machine Quilting: Stencils

Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate

This class focuses on Stencils…how to choose appropriate quilting stencils, how to mark the quilt using the stencils, and how to fit a border stencil into a border and creating a corner for the border if the stencil does not provide one. Each Student will receive a packet of stencils to use in class and to keep.

This is an ADVANCED Beginner class. Beginner experience a must. A $30.00 Kit Fee is required. Pre-class homework is required.


Intro to Machine Quilting

Level: Beginner with Knowledge of Sewing Machine

Students will learn to use a walking foot, free motion stitching, correct sandwich preparation, plus using stencils, freezer paper, and the actual design in the fabric. A set of battings will be supplied during the class for the student to use.

Must have a working knowledge of your sewing machine and it must be in good working order. You also must have SOME quilting knowledge.

A $2.00 supplies fee required.
